About Me
Hello, thank you for viewing my page - my name is Steph and I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor. My passion for helping others stems from a deep interest in people and their stories, and learning about their innate uniqueness.

I began my training taking evening classes at a local college studying counselling theory levels 1-3. I later went on to complete my level 4 diploma and fulfilled my placement hours working with various charities supporting young people and children, along with adults who had been in contact with secondary mental health services within the NHS. After this I continued my studies, completing a foundation degree in counselling and later a Bachelors degree in cognitive behavioural therapeutic techniques.
I have personally experienced the life changing impact effective therapy can have, and it is a privilege to be able to offer this experience to my clients.

Alongside my private practice, I work with a charity offering therapy to young people and their families, along with people seeking refuge in the UK. I also work with another charity supporting anyone affected by a sudden traumatic loss of a young person.

I have worked with many adults and young people who have identified as being part of the LGBTQ+ community, along with those who are neuro-divergent. I love working with identity and being part of someone's journey towards self-discovery.

In my spare time I enjoy creative projects, yoga, and being in nature - I have an unruly garden and find tending to it helps remind me of the importance of patience, and trusting the process! I am also a big animal lover and have two wonderful cats.
